Nice to Meet You!

As a semi-crunchy mom with two young kids, I was going through a lot of honey making elderberry syrup and other home remedies. I thought that I would save money and get a higher quality product by starting my own hive, so I did. I was partially correct...

Several years later, we've expanded from my original single hive in the spring of 2016. We typically have three to five hives going at a time, all located in the heart of Everett, Washington. The honey from our hives is unbelievably delicious and very unique. Since we are in a suburban area, the bees are foraging  on all sorts of interesting flowers that they wouldn't be exposed to in a rural area. This brings a unique flavor to our honey that you won't find anywhere else!

Sustainability is important to us. Our bottles, packaging, and storage are environmentally friendly and we opt for glass and other eco-friendly materials over plastic whenever possible.

Our honeybees are part of the family and we want to make sure they are happy and healthy. This includes the use of organic acids (vs synthetic chemicals) for mite management in order to give our honeybees the best chance of survival. The hives are inspected every couple of weeks spring through fall and monitored during the winter when it's too cold to safely open them. This helps ensure that they are healthy while not disturbing them too often. For more information on our hive management practices, please contact us.
